Pilamz — Amazon Selling Partner API integration

Published by Woogalf SASU · Application name: Pilamz

Pilamz is a management application for professional sellers on Amazon. After the seller explicitly authorises it through Seller Central (OAuth), Pilamz reads data from that seller's own account using Amazon's Selling Partner API, in order to report back their activity, their actual profitability and their inventory position. Each section below describes one feature and the data it uses.

Features and the data they use

Sales and traffic analytics

Role : Brand Analytics

Pilamz reconstructs the seller's day-by-day activity: revenue, order count, average order value, sessions, page views and conversion rate, compared with the previous period. These indicators feed the dashboard and let the seller spot a drop in conversion or traffic on their own listings, and measure its effect on profit.

Data used : GET_SALES_AND_TRAFFIC_REPORT, requested day by day and aggregated per ASIN and per marketplace.

Order tracking

Role : Amazon Fulfillment · Selling Partner Insights

Orders are imported continuously and matched to the seller's catalogue: units sold per product, trend over time, returns. The seller sees what actually sells, how fast, and which items generate returns.

Data used : Orders and order items (/orders/v0/orders), FBA customer returns report.

Actual profitability and financial reconciliation

Role : Finance and Accounting

Pilamz reads the seller account's financial transactions — referral fees, FBA fees, storage fees, refunds, adjustments — and attributes them to each sale. Reported profit is therefore based on fees Amazon ACTUALLY charged, not on an estimate. Disbursements are tracked group by group so they can be reconciled with the seller's own accounting.

Data used : Financial events and transactions (/finances), financial event groups.

FBA inventory and replenishment

Role : Amazon Fulfillment · Inventory

FBA inventory is synchronised: available, reserved and inbound quantities, as well as stranded units. Pilamz flags upcoming stock-outs and immobilised items, and helps prepare shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres.

Data used : FBA inventory summaries (/fba/inventory), inventory planning and stranded inventory reports, inbound eligibility (/fba/inbound/eligibility).

Listing eligibility (restrictions)

Role : Product Listing

Before buying a product for resale, the seller checks in Pilamz whether they are allowed to list it on their account: category or brand requiring approval, condition restriction, or unrestricted. This prevents them from tying up cash in items they could not put on sale.

Data used : Listing restrictions for the authorised account (/listings/2021-08-01/restrictions).

Price updates (repricing)

Role : Pricing

At the seller's explicit request, Pilamz updates the price of their own offers, marketplace by marketplace, within a margin or ROI floor they defined themselves. Every change is previewed, then confirmed by the seller, and logged. No write occurs without their action.

Data used : Price writes on the seller's own offers (PATCH /listings/2021-08-01/items).
